FOSTV Challenge 1 - 2012 - Gatefold Card

Good Morning and Welcome to a brand new year with the Friends of SpeedyTV design team. We look forward to having fun with you this year. We have a lot of fun in store for you. This weeks challenge to you all is to make a gatefold card.  Directions can be found on SCS.

For my card I chose to use Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co December Stamp release Buffalo Spring.

This is a real fun stamp set with so many possibilities. I stamped my images using Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy Distress ink pad. I used two sizes of my sizzix die cut and then stamped my image onto the die cut and layered onto my designer paper. I brushed the edges of the image with my brushed corduroy ink. Then mounted it to the outside of my card.

On the inside of my card I stamped my image and sentiment with the same ink pad onto white cardstock. I then mounted it to my designer paper and then to my card. I hope you enjoyed my card. Blog Candy, Blog Candy, Blog Candy - Update

I am updating my blog candy and lengthening the deadline to sign up. My blog candy will now be open until January 1st. I wanted to make this a Happy New Year surprise for someone. In addition to the new time I will add something new to the candy for every 50 followers that sign up. 

At last the long awaited blog candy is here. Sorry it took so long for me to get this up but here it is. I have gone through my crafting stash to make this an exciting blog candy. the candy will run until December 1st or 250 followers which ever comes first.  In this candy you will find the following:

HSI #29 - Anything Goes

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

Welcome back to Heart Song Inspirations weekly challenges. Now that we are all rested and stress free from the holidays we can get back to business and having some fun. We want to welcome two new members to the design team, Celeste and Lawren. This weeks and the first of the year's challenge is anything goes. You heard me anything goes. We wanted to make the first challenge an easy one so have fun and show us what you got.

This week I am using Heart Song Designs (make sure to check out the shop for some great images) snowflake bear. There are so many challenges this week using snowflakes so I thought why not this one as well. I colored my image with Prismacolor Pencils and glitter. I chose to use garnet for the base of my card since January is my birthday and garnet is my birthstone so what better color to use. I made my card using the challenge from SCS to make a window card so I cut out windows on the base and put my images in them. I cut out a snowflake with my Sizzix die cut and placed on the card and then added snowflake brads. I finished off the card by stamping my sentiment with Brilliance Moonlight White ink pad.

I know I am known for finishing the insides of my cards lately but for this one I only added some white cardstock for easy writing.
