Tutorial Time on SpeedyTV #3 - Train Tunnel

Happy Friday SpeedyTV,

That means it is time for another episode of Tutorial Time on SpeedyTV. We had a great week last week with Pat's Masked Center challenge. It is one that I will use again and again.

For my card I really struggled with this tutorial. I just couldn't get it to look as good as the other designers. I think I remade this card three times.

Friends of SpeedyTV # 24 - Father's Day Card

Happy Monday,

Welcome to a new week of challenges with Friends of SpeedyTV. We hope you enjoyed last weeks challenge. This week with Father's Day just around the corner we thought what a better time than now to make a Father's Day Card. This week we are giving this great stamp set from last month to one lucky winner.

For my card this week I wanted to do something new. I created this card from an idea I saw on someone's blog. I also created a tutorial for it if you would like to create the same kind of card. You can find my tutorial here.

Shirt Card Tutorial

Supplies:

1 – 8 ½ x 11 piece of card stock (base)

Card stock for image and sentiment (inside)

Scoring Tool

Ink

Stamps

Embellishments

Bone Folder

Adhesive (not pictured)

Step One:

Take your 8 ½ x 11 piece of card stock and place it on your scoring tool vertically. Score at 4 ½, 2 1/8 and 6 3/8.

Step Two:

 Fold on Center score lines and crease the fold with bone folder.

Step Three:

Fold on other two score lines folding them in towards the center.

Step Four:

At the top of your paper fold down the corners and crease with your bone folder.

Step Five:

Flip card over, and be sure to have your corner folds facing down toward you.

Step Six:

Score 1 inch at the top of your card and fold over and crease score line.

Step Seven:

Turn card back over with folded corners still facing you. Fold the corners at the top toward the center be sure to crease you edges with bone folder.

Step Eight:

Take the bottom of your card and fold up and under your collar flaps

Step Nine:

Put sentiment inside card.

Step Ten:

Finish card to your liking

Speedy Fox and Friends #111 - Black, White and a Splash of Color

Happy Saturday,

Welcome to another fun filled challenge with Speedy Fox and Friends. This weeks challenge is to make a card using Black, White and a splash of another color. For my card I am using Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co's "Tweet Blessings" stamp set. I stamped my image with Cranberry Crisp ink and layered it to my white, black, DP and cranberry card stock.

Tutorial Time On SpeedyTV Challenge #2

Hello Fellow Stampers,

Well we completed our first week of challenges with Tutorial Time on SpeedyTV. For our First week we had great participation. This week we are showcasing a great tutorial from Pat Garvin called "Masked Center". This is a cool technique and very fun to do.

This week we are giving away my favorite stamp set to one lucky winner.

"Mother's Magnolias"

Since this is the card we are giving to one lucky winner I decided to use this stamp set for my card this week. The tutorial tells us to use 3 shades of dye ink so I chose to use Tim Holtz's Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass and Dusty Concord. I thought this made a really pretty color. I finished off my card with some lavender and white ribbon.

SpeedyTV Membership Contest

We are challenging you to invite your friends to join SpeedyTV. Every month for the rest of the year we will be having a contest to see who can get the most friends to join SpeedyTV. Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge 23 - Buttons & Bows

Welcome to a new, fun and exciting new challenge with Friends of SpeedyTV.  This weeks challenge is to create a card using buttons and bows. Pretty fun and easy challenge this week. Surprisingly our challenge is very similar to the Speedy Fox Challenge this week. No we did not plan it that way it just worked out that way.

For my card this week since I missed last week because of being sick I thought I would step it up a little bit. I created my card using two different techniques from Technique Junkies. The first one is one I have used before called "Vellum Sentiments" and the second one is from the newest newsletter called "Dotty Edges". Both fun and easy, but very effective. I am using the stamp set we are offering to one lucky winner this week:

Speedy Fox and Friends #110 - Use Buttons

Hello Friends,

WOW can you believe it is June already? Where in the world is this year going? Well welcome to a new and exciting challenge with Speedy Fox and Friends. This week our challenge to you is to make a card using buttons. I have been seeing some really cool cards with buttons on them on Pinterest so I took an idea from one of those cards and tweeked it a bit.

For my card I am using Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co "Hello Butterflies" stamp set. I used a speckeled cream card stock for the base and laced my buttons with cream colored twine and placed them on my card. I colored my butterfly and mounted it to my card with pop dots.
