One last card before I turn in for the night. I created this card for several different challenges. I have been blog hopping a lot this week and I have come to love the color purple now. Stampin Sisters in Christ (stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com) submitted this challenge: Challenge: Use shades of purple as your main color AND/OR use wood paper or elements on your card/project.
Make sure to stop by their blog and check out everyone elses submissions.
Marks Finest Papers submitted this challenge: This week on Speedy's Challenge, Harriett has challenged us to use the Emboss Resist Technique. (I have linked directions in case you haven't tried this very cool, easy technique). Here are the DT's cards for your inspiration: (just click on the DT's name for further information regarding their card)
I was so excited when I saw this challenge. This was a technique I have never seen before but could not wait to try.
Finally the last challenge was from Split Coast Stampers:
The Challenge.

Feel free to create as many projects as you wish but keep in mind that this is not a contest. Use this challenge as inspiration and hopefully you see your creativity flourish. You can combine this challenge with another

I will do my very best to comment on each and every project but there may be times that I simply will not be able to.
Now for the details of my card. First I stamped from Stampin Up Maternal Insticts with VersMark ink onto white cardstock. Then I embossed the image with Rbber Dub Dub Red Pearl embossing powder. Then using the embossing resist technique I chose to use Orchid Opulence from Stampin Up for the background color. Since one of the challenges was to focus on the color purple I chose three sades of purple for this card (plum, purple and lavendar cardstock). Since Mothers Day is fast approaching I chose to make this a Mother's Day card. I used the words from Stampin Up's When I Grow Up stamp set. I added a little white lace to the bottom of the card and some pearls to make it a little bit more elegant.
Thanks for visiting, come back soon. Have a Blessed Day

Awesome card. I skipped this SCS challenge because I have so few people stamps. It seems I have a lot of flowers and butterflies though :). I love the lace that you added at the bottom. I think it kinda looks like little hearts at the top of the lace! Thanks for joining the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week. I hope you have a blessed day today!
This is a beautiful card! You did a great job with the resist technique.
Sweet, sweet image~ Thanks for playing with Speedy's Friends!
