Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Bubble Wrap

Good Morning all,

I have been dying to show you all this great tutorial. I saw on another card somewhere but I thought I would try to make it a little bit more easier to make. When I saw this I scoured everywhere to find some bubble wrap so that I could make this card, but no such luck. Then a couple of days later on the freecyle (a site where people give stuff away) low and behold someone was giving away bubble wrap. Whoo Hoo I thought to myself. Not only was she giving away bubble wrap she had this gigantic bag that could supply every scrapper out there to make a card like this. I hope you enjoy my tutorial.

Bubble Wrap

Supplies:
Bubble Wrap
White Acrylic Paint
Brayer
stamps
white or cream colored card stock
Paint trays
acrylic paint in your choice of color
adhesive
black dye ink
coordinating card stock
embellishments (not pictured)
paint brushes
paper trimmer
Step One:
Cut your white or cream colored card stock to the size you want, along with your coordinating card stock.
Step Two:
Start with your darkest shade of pain and brush it onto your white card stock going up and down. do not use a lot of paint. Brush lightly.
Step Three:
Add the next shade of paint using the same technique as step two.
Step Four:
Add your lightest shade of paint using the same technique as in step two and three. Wait to dry.
Step Five:
Take your bubble wrap and attach it to your brayer. If you do not have a brayer you can use an empty toilet paper roll.
Step Six:
Roll your brayer into white acrylic paint. Roll off any excess paint so that it isn't too thick.
Step Seven:
Roll the bubble wrap onto one side of the card stock you just painted.
Step Eight:
Once your white paint is dry now it is time to stamp your image onto it with your black ink.
Step Nine:
Finish your card to your liking.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial, it can also be found on SpeedyTV here.   This is a really cool technique that is easy for anyone to try. I hope it was helpful. Thanks for stopping and commenting. I hope to see you again soon.

Thanks

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge 31 - Use Die Cuts

Good Morning and Happy Monday,

Welcome to another fun filled week of challenges starting with Friends of SpeedyTV. This weeks challenge is to make a card using die cuts. My card I am using July's release "Garden Art". This is such a fun stamp set and every time I look at the little Gnome, I think of the Travelocity commercials and chuckle. I made my card a CAS card using the same die cut but in different colors. Then I just stamped my image and sentiment with Basic Black ink.

This week one lucky winner will be the proud new owner of this great stamp set:

"Wild Horses"

Now it is your turn to show us your Die Cut Cards cards that you created for us.  You can use any stamp set that you would like, but if you use a Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co stamp set your name will be entered twice. Please no back linking. Can't wait to see all the fabulous creations. Please be sure to link your card back to SpeedyTV and the Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge.

Be sure to check out our other challenges throughout the week here on SpeedyTV

You have until 11:00 pm on Sunday August 5th to submit your cards. Good Luck everyone.

I hope you enjoyed my card this week. Thanks for stopping and commenting. I hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for joining us this week for some great projects from the team. We hope we inspired you and gave you some good ideas for that jump start to the Christmas Holiday.  Happy Stamping

Christmas Kleenex Box
Supplies:
Cube box of tissue
2 -  pieces of card stock the same color (bottom)
2 – pieces of Christmas Designer Paper
1 -  piece of different color card stock
Scoring tool
Adhesive
Scissors
Ink
Stamps
Die cuts
Embossing Folders (Christmas or Winter)
Bone Folder
Paper Trimmer
Pencil (not pictured)
Big Shot (not pictured)
Embellishments (not pictured)

Step One:
Cut your two pieces of card stock for your base 5 1/8 x 9 ½. Be sure to save your scraps to use later.  (you may want to verify the measurements of your box of Kleenex)

Step Two:
Put your two pieces of card stock horizontally on your scoring tool and scor at ½” and 5”.  (you may want to verify the measurements of your box of Kleenex)

Step Three:
Fold your card stock on the score lines and then attach the two pieces together. This will create the bottom of your box.

 Step Four:
Take your second colored card stock and cut it 6 9/16 x 6 9/16. This should be a perfect square. Keep your scraps from this card stock for later.

Step Five:
Score your square piece of card stock 1” on all the sides. This will give you squares in all four corners.

Step Six:
Cut one side of each corner down to the score line, see below.

Step Seven:
Fold your score lines and tabs up like the picture.

Step Eight:
Trace an oval shape from one of your Nestibilities onto the center of the square card stock that is your top.

Step Nine:
Attach all the tabs together to make the top of your box.

Step Ten:
Put adhesive on the inside of the cover and attach it to the bottom. Red tacky tape works well here but regular adhesive is fine too.

Step Eleven:
Cut a piece of 4 ¼ x 4 ¼  from your scrap card stock from the top.

Step Twelve:
Take a die cut of your choice and cut an opening in your square piece smaller than the one on your top.

Step Thirteen:
Take your designer paper and cut two pieces 4 ¼ x 4 and adhere to two sides of your bottom.

Step Fourteen:
Take an embossing folder (Christmas or Winter) and emboss the top piece of the card stock then attach to the lid.

Step Fifteen:
Take two pieces of your base card stock and 2 pieces of your designer paper and cut them 4 ½ x ¾.

Step Sixteen:
Emboss the two sold colored card stock pieces then adhere them to the top alternating the designer paper.

 Step Seventeen: (optional)
Take your sponge and chalk and color the embossed image.

Step Eighteen:
Cut 2 pieces of white cardstock 4 ¼ x 4 to stamp your image and/or sentiment

Step Nineteen:
Decorate according to your liking and attach to your box.

Step Twenty:
Finish your box with embellishments of your choice then put over your box of Kleenex. I used die cuts for the sled and the snowflake.

I hope you enjoyed my Decorated Kleenex box and tutorial. Thanks for stopping and commenting. I hope to see you again soon.
