Missing Camera

Hello Everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since I posted, I have been sick for the past week and with my husband out of town on business it made it almost impossible to get better or get anything done. I slept almost all weekend in hopes to start feeling better and by the grace of God I am finally on the mend.

I made the mistake of letting my husband take my good camera with him to Florida last week when he was on business, I kept pleading with him to take the other camera that is not all that great, but no he insisted on taking the good camera. Well he got home super duper late on Thursday night or should I say Friday morning, and as he is unpacking his suitcase he says to me " Did you take the camera?" OMG I thought I was going to kill him. Turns out he left my good camera in Florida in his co-workers car. I wanted to strangle him. Luckily it was found and now I just have to wait until it is sent back to us, so in the meantime I have to use my other camera that does not take the best pictures so please be patient and bear with me.

I hope everyone had wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend. I can't wait to share my Memorial
Day card. More to follow soon.

In the meantime here is an older card that I did a long time ago in honor of our troops fighting for our freedom. It is CAS and one of the first ones I did when I first started but I thought the image was fitting.

Thanks for visiting, have a blessed day.

Courageous the Movie Part III "Honor Begins at Home"

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a great day. Today and periodically throughout the summer until the movie opens up in theaters I will be posting a reminder about the movie and few tidbits to make your mouths water. You will be chomping at the bit to see this movie which is what our goal is. This movie is geared towards men and fathers, but that does not mean the whole family can't enjoy it. One word of advice when you go to see this movie is to make sure you bring your Kleenex. There are some sad parts in the movie that will bring you to tears but there are also uplifting and encouraging moments that will bring you to tears as well. I had the privilege of seeing a pre-screening of this movie. It was one of the best movies I have seen.

There are so many ministry opportunities that your churches and small men's groups can take from this movie. Visit the movies website ( http://www.courageousthemovie.com )or facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/courageousthemovie) and see more about the movie. You can download the trailer which is pretty exciting.

I promise this movie will not be a disappointment so mark you calendars now for September 30th be there or be square. (LOL)

Thanks for visiting please come again or become a follower.

Have a blessed day.

Sketch Challenge 333

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Sorry I have not been posting regularly. My husband is out of town on business and I am like a fish out of water. Never fear he comes home tonight but will be gone again next week. This is new to me. He went on business trips when we were first married and no kids but now I am home alone with three kids under 5. Needless to say the kids are in control. LOL. Hopefully this won't be a regular practice with his new job. Well on to my card.

I created this card for a sketch challenge on Split Coast Stampers. Now that I have found all these challenges that they have daily I am hooked. I totally loved this sketch from the 18th. I loved it so much I am making two more cards with the same layout but different designs.

I made this card for the Heart Song Design team as well with their one of their new images now available in their store. Make sure to stop by and check out their great images.

Card Recipe:

Image: Heart Song Designs - Tiny Miracle
Paper: brown cardstock for the base, mustard yellow and deep blue for the layers and Paper Patch designer paper.

I colored the larger image with my Copic markers which I am falling in love with and can not wait to add to it. and with the smaller images I colored with my Stampin Up colored pencils. I layered the images onto the yellow and blue cardstock and mounted the smaller ones on top of the designer paper and then used pop dots to raise the larger image up for more detail. Finally I finished off the card with the same color blue and yellow brads. I was really excited how this turned out. I will be posting the other two cards that I made soon.

My second card is using the Baby Giraffe image also available in the store (icon right hand part of the screen). for this one I colored the Giraffes with my Stampin Up colored pencils I then mounted them onto pale green and cream colored cardstock. The base of my card is pink and I used a baby designer paper. I added baby ribbon and baby bottle brads to finish off the card.
Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!!!

CAS119: Word Inspiration: GIFT

CAS119: Word Inspiration: GIFT (5/16/11)

Today I made a card for Monday's Split Coast Stampers challenge. The challenge is a clean and simple card using the word inspiration GIFT. This was a real challenge for me because I didn't have any stamp sets that had gifts in it. As I was searching through my stamp sets I came across this stamp from Stampin Up's "In My Thoughts" and thought this is perfect. Then I thought it would go great with the couple scene from Stampin Up's "Summer by the Sea." Since this is a clean and simple card, I chose a green cardstock for my base, a green striped designer paper and a cream colored cardstock for my layers. I colored the image with my copic markers and chalk. I added a emerald green ribbon and some green buttons to top it all off.  Below are the details of the Challenge.

Couragous Part II

Good Morning everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, life has been so crazy here at the Moran household. Tuesday night Liam and I had the privilege of seeing a prescreening of  the next installment of Sherwood Films movie. If you are not sure who Sherwood Films is they are the creators of Flywheel, Facing the Giants and Fireproof. September 30th 2011 the new release of Courageous will hit theaters. Let me tell you this was one of the most powerful, encouraging, intense movies I have seen. the premise of the movie is to encourage men to be the fathers that God intended them to be. Liam was very touched by the movie as well as me and all the other people that were in the theater. We are going to discuss the ministry opportunities with our Pastor and hopefully work with other churches in the area to get the word out about this film. Please take the opportunity in September to go and see this movie you will not be disappointed. It has something for the whole family. Click on the icon on my sidebar to view the trailer for this movie.

Thanks for visiting. Have a blessed day, see back real soon.
