Day 12 Post-It-Holder Oct 28

Pam
Well today is the last day of our 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop. We hope that you enjoyed our projects that we created for you. Today we are showcasing Post-It Note Holders. For this project I created two different size post-it note holders.
The first one is for the standard post-it note. On this project I am using Mark's Finest Papers Ginger Cookies stamp set. I am also using Mark's Finest Papers Holiday Greetings paper and designer paper as well. I colored my image with Copic Markers E00, E15, E18, E13, G09, G28, R46, R14, and 100. I am using a dark green cardstock for the base and I cut it according to the directions you can find here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/postitholder. I decorated with my designer paper inside and out. I cut out my image and mounted it to the front of my card along with my sentiment which I stamped with Close to Cocoa ink. I used red and green ribbon for closing the holder. I added the post-it note and a small pencil. Here are some views of the inside and out.
Here is a side view of the holder closed.
Here is a view of the inside of the holder.
I was thinking after I made this holder, wait a minute I like to use bigger post-it notes. So I adapted the instructions above to make a larger holder.
For this holder I used Mark's Finest Papers Holly Greeting stamp set which is available for purchase along with all the other stamp sets used at http://www.marksfinestpapers.com.. I am also using Mark's Finest Papers Gold cardstock for my base. I used dark green and designer paper for my layers. I colored my image with Copic Markers G02, G09, B00, YR61, YR31, 100, R46, E15, E18, E29. I mounted my image and my sentiment to the dark green cardstock and then to the base. I used red and gold ribbon for the closing of the holder and I finished off the front with some gold gems. Here is a side and inside view of the holder.
Here is the side view of the holder.
Here is the inside view of the holder. I mounted a larger post-it note pad and a larger pencil.
Thanks for stopping and commenting. We hope you enjoyed the hop and that we gave you plenty of inspiration for those Christmas gifts.
Thanks for visiting my blog, hope to see you again. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 11 of the 12 Days of Christmas blog hop. Just one more day to go, I hope you all have been enjoying the wonderful projects these talented ladies and Markie have created for you. Today we are showcasing Decorated Gift Boxes.
At first I wasn't sure about this project, all I could think about was "How am I going to make a box?" So I made a trip to one of my favorite stores Hobby Lobby. I bought several sizes of gift boxes. First I picked out the paper that I wanted to use with this both solid and designer paper. I am using Mark's Finest Papers Christmas in the Country. I colored my image with my Prisma Colored Pencils, and added some sparkle with Martha Stewart's glitter. Once I mounted my paper to the box I used blue satin ribbon on the edges and the lid. I stamped my sentiment with Basic Black ink on the opposite sides of the image. I also added moose images to the box.
The thing that I am most proud of is the bow which I made myself. I got the instructions from Split Coast Stampers Split Coast Stampers. Although the directions called for two toned paper I wanted to use the same designer paper that I used on the box and it worked out just as well. I was incredibly surprised how easy it was to make this paper bow. I can't wait to use it again on another project. Thanks for stopping and commenting. Don't forget to stop and see all the other wonderful creations and come back tomorrow for our last day of the hop.
Thanks for visiting my blog I hope you enjoyed your stay, hope to see you again. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Welcome to day 8 of our 12 Days of Christmas hop. Today we are featuring stamped candles. This is such a fun and easy project to do for Christmas presents to your co-workers, your boss even your family. For my candles I am using Mark's Finest Papers Holiday Greetings stamp set. I stamped my images onto tissue paper and colored them with Handsome Hunter, Green Galore, Real Red, Garden Green, Close to Cocoa, and Basic Black. Once my images were dry I mounted them to my white candles using your every day garden variety wax paper and my heat gun. This is a really fun and pretty project to make. I hope you enjoyed my candles and thanks for stopping and commenting.
Thanks for visiting my blog I hope to see you again. Don't forget to stop by the other blogs to see what beautiful candles they created. Have a blessed day.

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge Week 4
Welcome to another week of challenges here at Friends of SpeedyTV,
We hope that you are enjoying our challenges. With Halloween just around the corner we thought what a better thing than to make a Halloween card. We do recognize that not everyone celebrates Halloween so we thought that this weeks challenge could be Halloween or Harvest. There are so many fun stamps out their for either kind of card and I know Mark's Finest Papers just released so many great ones in the past two months. Let's see what our design team has in store for you all this week.

For my card I am using Mark's Finest Papers BOO to You stamp set. I colored my image with watercolor pencils. I mounted my image to black cardstock and designer paper. I mounted them both to orange cardstock. I did the same with my sentiment. I finished off the card with some web and spider gems and some purple twine.
Although I have been doing alot more with the insides of my cards I kept this one pretty simple and only finished off my sentiment on the inside.
Can't wait to see what you all come up with. Don't forget to stop by the Mark's Finest Papers blog to enjoy the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop Mark's Blog. We hope that you like our creations this week.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 78 - Altered Frame
Good Morning everyone and welcome to another week full of fun with Speedy the Cat's Friends challengehttp://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com. We hope you have been enjoying the Christmas blog hop we have going on. With keeping in the 12 Days of Christmas theme we are challenging you to make an altered item.
For my project I have made another altered frame just like the one I made for the hop. This one I took a white wood frame and painted it red. Then I used Mark's Finest Papers Holly Greetings. I colored my images with Copic Markers and then cut the images out and mounted them to my frame. Then I stamped my sentiment onto a die cut with Basic Black ink. Once I had all of my images and sentiment on the frame I added some snowflake buttons. I hope you enjoyed my altered frame and please come back for more 12 Days of Christmas inspirations.

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge Week 3
Happy Monday Everyone,
Welcome to week 3 of Friends of SpeedyTV challenge. This weeks challenge is to make a Sweetest Day card. I know a lot of you are thinking what is a Sweetest Day card? Well let me tell you a little bit about Sweetest Day. Sweetest Day is another industry created holiday to celebrate your sweetheart. October 15th was Sweetest Day this year and since it was celebrated this month I thought what a better idea than to make a card for your sweetheart.
For my card I am using Mark's Finest Papers Planted With Love, Bearded Iris, and Magnolia Wedding stamp sets. I colored my images with my watercolor pencils and then mounted them to black cardstock. For the base of my card I chose a deep rose color. I also mounted designer paper to black cardstock and mounted it to my card. Once that was mounted I added the images layered on top of it. I stamped in black ink my sentiment on the front of the card. I then finished off the front of my card with Magenta pearl drops.
On the inside of my card I mounted white cardstock to black cardstock and then to the base of my card. Once that was done I added one of the same images from the front of the card. I hope you enjoy my card and make sure to stop by SpeedyTV to join in on the fun http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/forum/topics/friends-of-speedytv-challenge-week-3.

HSI #20 Use Flowers and/or Felt
Good Morning all and welcome to another week of fun at Heart Song Inspirations http://heartsonginspirations.blogspot.com. This weeks challenge is to use flowers and/or felt on your card. I really struggled with this card. I knew what image I wanted to use but there are no flowers in winter so I had to adapt.
For my card this week I am using Heart Song Designs Snowman Love. This is such a cute image and I had fun making this card. I just recently attempted a center step card and now I am hooked. I chose to use that design for my card this week. I colored my image with Copic Markers B04, BG11, E29, G02, G09, G28, YR68, R46, Y15 and y19. Once I colored my image I covered it with glitter for the snowman and the snow on the snow on the ground. I used Snow Storm cardstock for the base of my card and several winter designer papers for decoration. I mounted my image to my card along with all the different designer papers. I finished off the front of the card with some flowers, snowflake gems and pearl gems.
I have also come to enjoy decorating the inside of the card as well, where I didn't usually complete the inside of the card. I colored a smaller version of the outside image and mounted it to the inside of the card along with white cardstock and designer paper. Here is a sneak peak at the inside of the card. I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you for commenting.
Thanks for visiting I hope to see you again and maybe as a follower. Have a blessed day.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 77 - Seeing double
Hello everyone and Happy Saturday.
Welcome to another week of AWESOME creations. I hope you all go a chance to hop with us this week. If not just wait we will be hopping again next week with all new surprises. This weeks challenge is suggested by Carol. She wants us to use the same image on our cards more than once.
On my card I wanted to step it up a bit so I decided to try a Center Step card. This is the first one I have made and you can find the directions at this link http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/centerstepcard. Split Coast stampers have a lot of great ideas for projects. Anyway back to my card. I was pleasantly surprised to see how good this card turned out. I used Mark's Finest Papers October release that we just released this week called Country Thanksgiving. For the base of my card I chose to use Old Olive cardstock. I also used several types of designer paper and hunter green cardstock. I colored my image with Copic Markers 100, R46, R27, R43, Y19, YR68, B29, E29, E18, E15, E13. Y13, E00, R14, G09, G28, Y15. I stamped my image onto a scalloped die cut and brushed the edges with True Thyme ink. I used white and several designer papers for layers on my card. I finished the outside of the card with green and gold gems.
On the inside of the card (which I seem to be completing alot lately) wit designer paper, and the same image on the front.
I hope everyone enjoys this weeks challenge! We all look forward to seeing your wonderful creations and commenting on your beautiful cards. You have until 3pm on Friday October 21st to post your card. Remember, if you use any of Mark's Finest Paper stamps your name is entered into the drawing twice!!! Have fun and good luck.

CDAC Prgressive Challenge Part 4
Hello everyone,
My card tonight is for the CDAC Progressive challenge that is going on until the end of Octoberhttp://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/cdac-progressive-freebie-challenges. I am trying another new technique that I have never done before. The first attempt ended in the garbage but the second attempt turned out great.
I am using the Sew Many Cards Digital stamp. It was my favorite that is why I chose this one out of all the choices. I colored my image with Copic Markers 100, R46, R27, R43, Y19, YR68, B29, B00, E29, E18, E15, E13. I chose to use black cardstock for the base of my card and orange and designer paper for my layers. I used the Side Step Card for my design http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/results/10c3b97399a5c30108326e2ea61331af. I decorated my card with Halloween die cuts, gems, and brads. I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for commenting. Make sure to stop by the website to see all the other submissions.
Thanks for stopping and hope to see you again. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Mark’s Finest Papers
Welcome to October's Blog Hop at Mark's Finest Papers. This month we have some great and beautiful stamp sets to show you. Enjoy the hop and all the beautiful creations the design team has created for you.
My card today is using the newest release Holly Greetings. I colored my image with Copic Markers B00, Y15, G09, G28, E13, E15, E18, E29 and R27. I used Mark's Finest Papers Season's Greetings red and forest green cardstock on my card. I used the red cardstock for my base and the forest green as my layer. I also thought that the designer paper with the Holly Leaves was perfect for this card. To finish off the outside of my card I used a two-toned ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
On the inside of my card I stamped my sentiment and the holly leaves and colored the holly with my Copic Markers. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping and commenting. You need to go back to Mark's blog and comment there in order to qualify for the drawing.
Thanks for visiting my blog, i hope to see you again and maybe as a follower. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

HSI #19 use Die Cuts and/or Sponged Background
Good Morning and Happy Monday,
Welcome to another fun filled week with Heart Song Inspirations http://heartsonginspirations.blogspot.com. This weeks challenge is to use Die cuts and/or Sponged Background.
For my card I chose to use two of Heart Song Designs http://www.heartsongdesignsshop.com/ images. I am using Cherry Frame and Bird and Roses. I colored both my images using Copic Markers R14, R27, R46, Y13, Y15, G09, G28, E15, E18, YR61, BG11, and B00. I cut my Cherry Frame image out and mounted it to my Scalloped die cut and I put the Bird and Roses image on the inside of the frame. I chose to use red cardstock for the base of my card. Before I mounted my image to the base I embossed the base of the card with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, then I mounted my image. I finished off the outside of my card with Cream Pearl Pen drops.
On the inside of my card I mounted some white cardstock and stamped my image on the white. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping and commenting.
Thanks for visiting, I hope to see you again and maybe as a follower. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 76 - No Designer Paper
Hello and Happy Saturday,
Welcome to another fun and exciting week at Mark's Finest Papers and Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com.
This week's challenge is brought to us by Linda who challenges us NOT to use designer paper. Now, you can use plain paper, or your can make your own designer paper, whichever you choose. Use your imagination and show us your gorgeous work!
For my card I chose to use Mark's Finest papers new release Country Thanksgiving and Split Coast Stampers sketch challenge this week as well. I chose dark rose color for the base of my card and accented it with brown and white. I colored my image using my prisma colored pencils and brushed the edges with Close to Cocoa so that the white wasn't so stark. I also chose to use Mark's Finest Papers brown with pink polka dots on my card.
On the inside of my card I mounted white cardstock and then put my sentiment in there. Here you can also see how beautiful this ribbon really is, and as I have mentioned before I am not one for completing the inside of my cards. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I hope everyone enjoys this weeks challenge! We all look forward to seeing your wonderful creations and commenting on your beautiful cards. You have until 3pm on Friday October 14th to post your card. Remember, if you use any of Mark's Finest Paper stamps your name is entered into the drawing twice!!! Have fun and good luck.
Make sure to stop by SpeedyTV on Monday for the newest challenge and what the design team has in store for you not to mention our monthly blog hop that starts on Tuesday. Lots of fun this month stay tuned.
Have a blessed day.
Thanks
Debbie
