Hello and welcome to this weeks Heart Song Inspirations challenge. This weeks challenge is to use buttons or banners on your card. Heart Song Designs has a new blogspot for their store where you can find some great new images. Make sure you stop by the new shop and check out all of the great images offered.
For my card today I am using Heart Song Designs new image Holiday Candle that is for sale now in the shop. I colored my image using my Copic Markers. I am using red cardstock for my base and then I mounted designer paper to that. I cut my image out and then mounted it to a die cut along with the sentiment to a banner. I then brushed the die and the banner with real red ink. Once I was done I mounted them both to my card and then finished off the card with red buttons. I hope you enjoyed my card this week. Make sure to stop by and join the fun. Thanks for stopping and commenting. Be sure to check out my blog candy as well. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge Week 9
Good Morning and Happy Monday,
Welcome to week 9 of the Friends of SpeedyTV challenge. This weeks challenge is to use your favorite sketch or layout. I love doing the sketch challenges on Split Coast Stampers so I thought this would be a great chance to show which sketch you love the most. It could be one you have designed yourself, it could be one you have done in the past from other sketch challenges. One of my favorite sketches was SC351
I chose to use Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co's Snowball Mini stamp set for this card. I chose Snow Storm cardstock from Marks for the base of my card. I then stamped my image onto the same white cardstock and colored them with my Copic Markers. I mounted my images to red cardstock and then to the base of my card. I stamped my sentiment onto the base of the card and finished it off with Holiday ribbon. I didn't do anything on the inside of this card. I hope you enjoyed my card, thanks for stopping and commenting. Make sure to stop by SpeedyTV to join in the challenge. Also make sure you check out my blog candy. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 83 - Masculine Card
Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving. Mine was hard but good. I had bits of crying throughout the day missing my dad so much. I watched the Packers kick Detroit's butt and had times of tears throughout the game. I miss my dad so much and all I could think was "There is no crying in Football." I know it will get better as time goes by, but for now it is hard.
This week on Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge we challenge you to make a masculine card. For my card I used Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co, Big Boy Toys stamp set. This stamp set has just been retooled so I was excited to use it. I am using the sketch challenge from Mojo Mondays in which I will submit it to that challenge along with Tuesday Throwdown. I used green, blue, aged sunflower and white cardstock for my card. I stamped my image and sentiments with More Mustard and Vintage Violet ink pads. I also used brads to finish off the card.
On the inside of my card I used the same cardstock in layers and then stamped my image and my sentiment. I know most cards are made with the image on the outside but I though I would try something different today.
I hope you enjoy my card. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope to see you again. Make sure to check out my blog candy. Have a blessed day.
Thanks
Debbie

Mark's Finest Papers
Hello and welcome to the last day of Mark's Finest Papers November's blog hop. Today we are showcasing What a Fox stamp set. For my card I am getting bolder and bolder in trying new things. Today I am trying the tri-shutter card that I tried and did not succeed from yesterday. I took Split Coast Stampers color challenge and try a new technique challenge and made my card. I made the base of my card with a green cardstock and then decorated my card with white, coral, tan and several different designer papers. I finished off my card with flowers, snowflakes, and gems. I stamped my images with Basic Black ink. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thank you for stopping and commenting. Good luck on winning a new stamp set. Have a blessed day.

Mark's Finest Papers
Welcome to day two of the hop, I hope you are enjoying the work that all the talented designers have made for you. My card today is using A Trip to Lancaster from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co. With this card I wanted to try something different than what I am used to. I tried to do a tri-fold shutter card but due to a mistake in cutting I now have a new card. I am sure it is not new but to me it is. So I have a happy mistake card to show you today. I chose tan cardstock for the base of my card and cranberry for my accent color. I stamped my images onto white cardstock with my Bravo Burgundy ink pad. I finished off the outside of the card with Harvest ribbon and gems.
On the inside of my card I stamped my image and made my road with colored pencils. I stamp lifted this design from several of my fellow design team members (great idea). And stamped my bird image on the inside flaps of the card. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping and commenting. Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the last day of the hop. Also make sure to take a look at my blog candy. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

HSI# 25 Circle or Thank You Card
Hello Everyone and welcome to another week of fun and exciting challenges here at Heart Song Inspirations. This weeks challenge is to make a circle card or a Thank You card.
This weeks challenge was really hard for me. I have never made a circle card and this week I still have not been able to master the circle card. I was able to make a semi-circle and a thank you card. For my card I chose a green cardstock for the base of my card. I am using Heart Song Designs - Owl on a Branch image. I colored my image with my Copic Markers and then cut the image out and mounted it to the base of my card. I paper pierced the edges of the card and then added the sentiments to my card. I finished off the card with some firefly gems. Although I did not do the inside of my card I did however add some white cardstock to the inside for ease in writing your own message. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my card, I hope you like it. Have a blessed day.

Thank You
Good Morning Everyone,
As most of you know my dad passed away 3 weeks ago. The card I created for today was using SCS CAS challenge from last week CAS143. This card is the thank you card I made for the many gifts that my mom received at my dad's memorial service. Since I had over 70 to make I am so glad that this challenge was there for me to use.
On my card I chose a purplish blue cardstock for the base of my card. I then chose a cream cardstock to stamp my image onto. I am using Stampin Up's Morning Soft and Sincere Salutations stamp sets. I stamped the images with Basic Black and then colored them with Copic Markers B04, BG15, G09 and G28. Once I had the image completed I added a emerald blue satin ribbon. Then I finished off the card with cream pearl pen drops. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thank you for stopping and commenting, I hope to see you again soon. Make sure to check out my blog candy that will be ending on December 1st. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge Week 7
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to another fun filled week with the Friends of SpeedyTV. This weeks challenge I think is one that everyone will like. The challenge is to make a Birthday card. Now tell me who doesn't have someone in their lives to make a Birthday card for? This is a fun challenge that have endless possibilities. Let's see what the team has come up with for us this week. Today is my mom's birthday and with the recent passing of my dad this will more than likely be the worst birthday ever. I wanted to make her a special card for her birthday so that is why I chose this theme for this week.
For my card I chose a banana color cardstock for the base of my card. I took my white cardstock and dry embossed with the swirls embossing folder. I stamped my sentiment with Cameo Coral ink onto white cardstock and then mounted both sentiments to Coral cardstock. I added Coral ribbon to the white cardstock and then mounted the white to the base of my card. I added my sentiments and then finished off the card with Coral pearls. Since I wanted this to be a special card for my mom I did not do anything to the inside of the card. I hope that you enjoyed my card. Make sure to stop by SpeedyTV to join this weeks challenge SpeedyTV. Thanks for stopping and commenting. I hope to see you again soon. Have a blessed day.

HSI #24 Use Gold
Hello everyone and Welcome back.
This weeks challenge on Heart Song Inspirations is to use gold on your cards. At first I thought how am I going to do this card. I wracked my brain trying to come up with a card and then it hit me "I have Gold Cardstock!" I am using Heart Song Designs new image Nativity on my card this week. For this image I wanted to try something new that I have never done before. I took my brand new Versa marker and I embossed the star and the crowns of the image with Gold embossing powder. I then colored the rest of the image with my Copic Markers. Once my image was complete I mounted it onto my gold cardstock. I did the same thing with my sentiment which I used SU - Keep Christmas. I chose to use black cardstock for the base of my card in hopes to really accent the gold. Once my image and sentiment were mounted I finished off the front of the card with gold ribbon.
Since you all know how much I have been enjoying finishing the inside of my cards I added white cardstock to the inside (we all know that you can't write on black cardstock and have people see it) and then I finished it off with a simple sentiment from SU greetings.
I hope you enjoyed my card for this weeks challenge. Make sure to stop by Heart Song Inspirations to join the fun. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope to see you again soon. Have a blessed day.
Thanks

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 81 - Favorite Technique
This week I challenge each of you to make a card using your favorite technique. It could just be stamping, or embossing, or a special kind of card like a tri-fold, center step (my fav) or whatever you prefer.
For my card this week I really couldn't think of if I had a favorite technique or not. I thought and thought and then I discovered even though it is a new technique to me I really like doing the center step cards. for my card I am using Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co's new stamp set being released next week, A Trip to Lancaster. I stamped my image and sentiment onto white cardstork with Vintage Violet ink. I chose Vintage Violet as the base of my card as well. I cut my base according to the instructions you can find on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/centerstepcard. I found this great designer paper that I thought went wonderfully with the vintage violet and mounted that on the card as well. I finished off the card with White gingham ribbon, crystal gems and purple button gems.
For the inside of the card (my newest fun thing to do) I mounted the same designer paper along with white cardstock and stamped my image and sentiment as well. I hope you enjoyed my card.
I hope everyone enjoys this weeks challenge! We all look forward to seeing your wonderful creations and commenting on your beautiful cards. You have until 3pm on Friday November 18th to post your card. Remember, if you use any of Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company stamps your name is entered into the drawing twice!!! Have fun and good luck.
Happy Stamping!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and visiting. Make sure you take a look at my blog candy that will end on December 1st and enter for your chance to win. Have a blessed day.

Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge Week 6
Hello Eveyone,
My card for this weeks challenge is late but better late than never. This weeks Friends of SpeedyTV challenge is to use ribbon. Ribbon is an intricate part of most cards so we thought what a better idea than to have a challenge where you need to use ribbon.
This week my card is using Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co Snowball Fun mini stamp set. I colored my image with Copic markers. I chose to use red cardstock for the base of my card and then I mounted white cardstock onto the red and then red designer paper on to that. I used gold and white cardstock for the die cuts and then mounted my image onto those two die cuts. I covered Santa's beard, eyebrows, cuffs of his coat and the ball on his hat with white glitter. I then chose a red Christmas ribbon and mounted it to my card and finished off the card with gold gems. I made this card for the Christmas card swap on SpeedyTV so I thought this would be a great card for this challenge as well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope you enjoyed the card, make sure to stop by SpeedyTV and join the fun. Have a blessed day.
Thanks
Debbie

In Mourning
Hello Everyone,
I am sorry that I have not posted anything to my blog in the last week and a half. I lost my dad on October 26th. My dad had been sick for over a year and he was in a great deal of pain. It is a blessing that he is no longer suffering. I was very close to my dad and I am really struggling with him not being here anymore. I have been so busy the last 2 weeks preparing for his funeral and grieving this terrible loss that I have not had the desire to do any stamping. I had my last funeral service for him last night so now I hope to get back in the swing of things so that I have the release that I need. Please pray for my mom who is struggling beyond words with our loss. My parents were married 44 year in this December and they were together 24/7, 365 days a year, she is so lost. Below I want to share the memorial cards that I made for my dad and his memorial services. Sorry it is not the best picture, it is hard to take a good one of it due to the laminating.
I hope you all understand me being out of the scene for a little bit. I will be back up and stamping this week. I will have some new projects soon. Stay tuned I still have my blog candy to add. Thanks for stopping and listening and for your prayers for my family. Have a blessed day.
Thanks
Debbie
