Speedy Fox Featured Designer

Hello Everyone,

This week I am honored to be the Featured Designer for Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Since I got so many great comments last week on my coasters during the blog hop I thought what a great time to do a tutorial on it. You can also see my tutorial Here on SpeedyTV. This is an extremely easy and fun project to do and makes great gift ideas.

Coasters Tutorial

Supplies
Staz-on Black ink pad
Markers  (Copics Used here)
Stamps
Ceramic tiles (quantity of your choice)
Velcro or Felt

Step One:
Choose your focal stamp and stamp the image onto your tiles with Staz-On Black ink.  (Tiles can be bought at Menards, Lowes, or Home Depot by the case). Be sure to press hard to get even coverage of the stamp.

Tip: if you don’t get even coverage don’t toss out your tile, use a baby wipe and it will clean off the image.

Step Two:
Stamp any other images or sentiments onto your tiles with the Black Staz-on ink.

Step Three:
Color your images with your choice of utensils. I used Copics to color my images.

Step Four:
Take the soft part of your Velcro and adhere to the back of the tile to avoid scratching your furniture.

Finished Project

I hope this helps to answer any questions that some of you were having from my coasters from last week. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope to see you again soon.

Thanks

I'll have to go to Home Depot or Lowes and get me some of the tiles. I have the Staz On ink and have used it to stamp on paper that has a non-smooth surface. Did you not add some kind of cleaar stuff over the dried stamped image to protect it?

Oh, I missed the sunflower coasters as I was so carried away with the chef. They are really pretty, too. The bees are so cute.
