CAS124 - Sand, Surf, Relax

Good evening everyone,

Well Monday is finally over. It is funny when I was working I dreaded Mondays because the work load was crazy and the day was crazy, but now that I am home Monday's are no different. Life is just so crazy these days. Ever since I have been home and no longer working I have constantly been trying to get my house in the condition that I feel comfortable with. My kids feel otherwise. Everyday I clean and not even an hour later it is back in the condition in which I started. My card for today was so fitting for my crazy life.

Earlier this month I was blessed to win one of the new stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers during their monthly blog hop. I love their blog hop. I mark my calendar every month so that I do not miss it. Not only to get the chance to win such AWESOME stamp sets but because they have one of the most talented design team I have seen. I get so many new ideas from their hard work, not to mention getting to know the ladies.

So on to the details of my card. Today's card is for Split Coast Stampers Monday CAS challenge. I love participating in their challenges as well, it helps me to learn more and meet more people. The challenge for today was to make a tall and skinny card. With my card I chose a light brown cardstock as my base. I stamped my images from MFP - Sand, Surf, Relax stamp set onto white cardstock with Stampin Up's Basic Black ink pad and then mounted my images onto a brown cardstock. I liked the look of the image so I chose not to color it. On the base of my card I stamped sea shells onto the light brown cardstock with Stampin Up's Really Rust ink pad. I then mounted my images to the card base and finished it off with some brown and cream colored ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and tied the card shut.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Have a blessed day and come back and visit.

Debbie
