Happy Saturday Everyone,
Welcome to another fun filled week of challenge with Speedy the Cat. This weeks challenge is to make a card using your favorite embellishment. I guess my two favorite embellishments are gems and ribbon, so I incorporated both.
I tried a new technique for my card called a double easel card. I not only created this card for the Speedy challenge I made it for the Technique Junkies joint blog hop this week in which Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company participated in. If you make this card and uploaded it to Pat's (the owner) blog you enter yourself for a chance to win the grand prize. I looked at this card and I thought there is now way I can do this card it is too hard. Well let me tell you it was so easy to make. I can't wait to try some of the other techniques on their new 3D Cd that is for sale now.
For my card I chose Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co's Christmas in the Country stamp set. I colored my image with my Prisma Colored Pencils. I then added glitter to the trees and ground to add the snow effect. I used white cardstock to stamp my image and sentiment onto. I chose to use red from MFP for the base and a Christmas DP for layering. I finished off my card with Christmas ribbon and gems. I hope you enjoyed my new card. Make sure to stop by Mark's blog spot to join in on the fun. Thanks for stopping and commenting. I hope to see you again, don't forget to check out my blog candy. Have a blessed day.
Thanks
Debbie

I like both of your double easel cards, and I agree that they can face either way. Love the coloring on the church and the embellishments you used to make it stand up! Wonderful.
