Relying on the Lord

This is a different kind of post for me today. It has been a really rough week since last Friday. Work has been horrible and I have been stressed and was concerned that I would be fired. Well that became a reality today. With Liam not working and now me being unemployed (which was our only source of income) I am more stressed and scared than ever. Last night at AWANA I was reading Psalm 119, and God could not have hit me any harder with His word. God is great and we are trusting in Him. We know this is God's will and he kept me at this particular job (I will not mention names, I will not give them any publicity) and now he has something better in store for us. Please pray that my husband and I will find employment and that my husband who is a Pastor will find a Pastorate. I did not like who I was becoming when I worked there, I found myself falling into worldly ways and not trusting in my heavenly father. Praise God in this storm, I know he will lift me up, and will not forsake me for I am his.

Psalm 119

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Aleph

119:15 I will meditate on your precepts
and fix my eyes on your ways.
16 I will delight in your statutes;
I will not forget your word.

119:27 Make me understand the way of your precepts,
and I will meditate on your wondrous works.

119:37 Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
and give me life in your ways.
119:48 I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love,
and I will meditate on your statutes.

119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction,
that your promise gives me life.

119:61 Though the cords of the wicked ensnare me,
I do not forget your law.

119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I keep your word.

119:69 The insolent smear me with lies,
but with my whole heart I keep your precepts;

119:78 Let the insolent be put to shame,
because they have wronged me with falsehood;
as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

119:85 The insolent have dug pitfalls for me;
they do not live according to your law.

119:86 All your commandments are sure;
they persecute me with falsehood; help me!

119:87 They have almost made an end of me on earth,
but I have not forsaken your precepts.

119:98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies,

119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.

119:106 I have sworn an oath and confirmed it,
to keep your righteous rules.

119:107 I am severely afflicted;
give me life, O Lord, according to your word!

119:110 The wicked have laid a snare for me,
but I do not stray from your precepts.

119:115 Depart from me, you evildoers,
that I may keep the commandments of my God.

119:117 Hold me up, that I may be safe
and have regard for your statutes continually!

Hi Debbie!
I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today.... now I know to pray for you and hubby! Ps 34:8-10 "O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing"

Praying He is your all sufficient One and meets your every need!

hugs,
Grace
