Just a Note - SC343; CC334

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a good day today. I went to see my dad today who is in such poor shape. I sat on his hospital bed and rubbed his back and fighting the tears, all the while my mom is sobbing. I spent as much time with him tonight as I could and when I left I felt like I was saying good-bye to him for the last time. He is holding on because he is so worried about my mom being alone. I have lost friends in my life before but I have never lost someone so close to me, I don't know what to do.

When I got home I was so upset I needed an outlet to get my mind off of things for a while. This is a card to my dad for being the best dad he knew how. My card today is for 2 of Split Coast Stampers challenges. One from last weeks sketch challenge which I loved and the other is from today's color challenge. The color challenge for today is BASIC WHITE, GOING GRAY, TEMPTING TURQUOISE . Although I do not have these Stampin Up colors I used the closest that I had. My cardstock is white, grey, and teal. I used Mark's Finest Papers stamp set Sand, Surf, Relax and I used Stampin Up's Taken With Teal ink pad. I used Really Reasonable Ribbons, grey and turquoise ribbon and finished the card off with some grey gemstones.

I hope you enjoyed the card, sorry for the sadness. Thanks for stopping by please come again. Have a blessed day!

Debbie

Debbie,

You are doing the only things you can do in your situation. It is heartbreaking to watch a loved one die. Let the tears flow so grief doesn't eat you up.

Praying,
Carol

Sending prayers your way. I lost my mom last year and it is very hard to watch your parents pass on. You will get through this. Keep your chin up and know that he will be at peace.
