Mark's Finest Papers

Today we are featuring our second release for the month called "Daffodil Greetings". I absolutely love this stamp set. Up until now I thought the only flower that I likes was Magnolia's but I just learned that I really like Daffodil's too.

For my first card, I wanted to spice things up a bit and make a fancy fold card from Technique Junkies 3D and Fun Folds CD called "Fancy Fold Out Card".  For my first attempt I am pretty pleased with the outcome for the most part. I had some issues with the border punch but it still looks good. I used a teal card stock for the base, Calypso Coral and several different designer papers. I colored my images with Copic Markers.

For my second card I made for additional inspiration on the Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co blog. I used two more techniques from Technique Junkies which were fun. The first one was Chalk Emboss (but did not emboss) then I finished off the technique with Faux Quilted Diamonds instead of embossing. I added Cream colored Viva Pearl Pen dots for my pearls.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today, I surely did have fun making them. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for another Cool stamp set. Hop on over to SpeedyTV to play with Friends of SpeedyTV for another chance to win free stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Remember the more you comment the better chance you have of winning one of these great stamp sets. Have a blessed day.

Thanks

How creative you are, Debbie. Love them both, but that first is outstanding!

Debbie, I love the turquoise colours and the opening of your card. The daffodil just pops off the card with those colours in the background.

Debbie, you really made some beautiful cards...love both. I really like the faux quilted diamond bg. I made a card once like your first one and it took me a while to get it finished. Yours is super!!! Great job with this set.

I knew your cards would be lovely!! You are so brave to try new techniques and I may invest in the CD you always refer to - because you, as well as a few others are always showing cool techniques. But, back to your cards - the pretty fold is so elegant and your second card with the pearls is beautiful!!
